After years of trying to hit it big with his band, Adam Rees’ dream is finally about to come true. A new lead singer brings with him a hot tour invite, but with a catch—his sister has to come with them. Despite an off-limits edict, Adam is instantly attracted the smart and beautiful Landry. But if he wants to claim his woman, it might be at the expense of all his ambitions.

Landry Olsen has had success at every stage of her life, except when it comes to men. She’s put her heart on the shelf, but one look at Adam and she’s a goner. The hot rocker heats her from the inside out, and she wants him as much as he wants her. The only thing standing in their way of their happiness is Landry's brother—she ruined his musical hopes before, and she won't do it again. Even if it means saying no to the one guy who makes her believe in love again.

There’s no fruit more tempting than the forbidden kind…

I’ve read and loved all the Woodlands books and was so excited to learn that we were getting a new one!  I’m head over heels for all the boys of this series (especially Bo…who’s mine…I have proof) and couldn’t wait to get to know Adam who’d been a supporting character in the other books.  And I wasn’t disappointed.  I was treated to humor, sexy times, angst, and romance.

Ms. Frederick takes us on a ride (literally) as we join Adam and his band on tour.  This is their big break but there’s a lot going on outside the band that’s got Adam’s attention…including Landry, a girl who unexpectedly enters his life and has him wanting her to stay.  Very quickly we find out that she’s the sister of Davis, the band’s new lead signer.  And, of course, that poses some issues that get explored with the backdrop of rival bands, tour bus shenanigans, and the pressures of the music business.

A lot goes on here…not just the love story.  There is the subplot of the relationships between the band mates, the story line about Landry’s past that still haunts her, the baggage that Adam carries from his past as well, the undeniable competition between bands, and even a somewhat shady tour promoter.  For some readers that may be a lot to handle and may make the romance feel less prominent but, for me, it just added to the book…made it more interesting.  I feel like I must warn those of you who dislike intalove that Adam is a man who knows what he wants…and he immediately wants Landry, even before he’d actually met her.  But, don’t let this deter you.  The rest of their romance is actually a slow burn and their chemistry is wonderful.  I think you’ll enjoy it.

I loved seeing Bo and Noah make appearances and I also really liked the new guys, David, Rudd and Ian.  I’m hoping we get to enjoy some of their stories as well in the future!  The thing that makes this series undeniably good, at least for me, is the connection that these characters have…they’re friends, but they’re also like a family.  They fight, they joke, they irritate each other, but mostly they are an integral part of each others’ lives.  For me, that makes this a series I’ll come back to again and again.  Each book can be read as a stand alone so whether you start at the beginning or here, with Adam’s story, you’ll be glad you entered the world of the Woodlands boys!  Trust me!!
